What says summer more than a large expanse of green lawn, the smell of grilled burgers in the air and kids frolicking with friends playing games and making crafts? The only thing that could top it off is the perfect summertime flick.

If this sounds like your idea of a fun summer evening, join your friends and neighbors for the next Pics on the Pike at the Wyoming Civic Center on Friday, Aug. 26, 2016 with food, games and crafts starting a 6 p.m. and a showing of “Zootopia” at dusk.

“It is such a well-planned event,” says Mona Burkemeyer, who attended the June 24 Pics on the Pike with her family, husband, Jay, and kids Ellie, 5, Henry, 3, and Jack, 1. “It was fun to enjoy activities, food and good company.  At dusk, we all settled in the watch ‘The Sandlot’ It was an idyllic evening.”

Once again, food will be provided by Cowaburger, a food truck with a big reputation for amazing burgers. Music will be provided by The Black Ties, a high energy cover band that plays top 40 hits from the last 50 years, and the St. X Drumline. There will also be inflatables for the kids and Mr. Cow Pie’s Party Animals. JWC will once again host craft tables for kids as well.
