Within the next few weeks, the hike/bike trail extension from North Park to Oak Park will be ready for traffic.

Construction started in spring and is close to being complete, with paving and restoration work still yet to come.  When finished, the new extension will add 0.7 miles for a total trail length of 1.1 miles that extends from the Wyoming Recreation Center to Oak Park.

The path is part of an unbroken trail system from Wyoming to Glenwood Gardens, a recreation area that is part of the Great Parks system of Hamilton County.  Eventually, the trail is proposed to extend all the way to Winton Woods.  Wyoming’s trails give residents increased pedestrian access to desirable recreation outlets and allow them to enjoy the outdoors in a pleasant, safe environment.
