Set for Feb. 25

WhatsUpWyoming.com got an early glimpse into the newly remodeled recently and here’s what we found.

As you step through the brand new contemporary front doors, the changes to the interior are immediately evident. The all-new, bright, modern lobby area makes a bold impact with minimalist furnishings and a sleek look that feels like mid-century modern with a 21st century upgrade.

A cozy, contemporary seating area is anchored by a bold, colorful rug. Overhead is a modern LED pendant that looks straight out of a sci-fi movie set. The lobby also includes a wet bar in a sleek black, white, and gray color pallet that complements the dark flooring and the contemporary recessed lighting fixtures.

The modern vibe carries into the all-new dressing room/lounge area, configured from the former office and women’s lounge. This space can be used as a prep room for events like weddings, or as a small meeting room. It includes the contemporary flooring, lighting and furniture of the lobby area with large windows and a modern vanity area that spans one wall. The furnishings can be re-arranged to accommodate varying needs, says , Events/Civic Center Coordinator.

The remodeled women’s room is across the hall from the lounge, and there is also a modern men’s room off the lobby area now, created from space formerly utilized by the coat check room.

The main hall includes all-new flooring and windows that give the space a sunlit, sleek style. New banquet chairs update the furniture for the room, and a brand-new concrete patio on the south side of the building offers outdoor space immediately adjacent to the hall for flexible hospitality options.

Be sure to pay a visit and see the new design for yourself during open house on Sunday, Feb. 25, at 2 p.m.

The Civic Center is available for private events. Party hosts can choose to rent the entire facility or the upper and lower levels separately. For rental and event information call 513-821-5423, or access the Civic Center Date Request Form online at wyomingohio.gov under the Requests tab.
