City officials leading the Village Green project will share their vision for the space and answer questions from Wyoming residents at two special open house sessions in March. The first session will be Tuesday, March 3 and the second will be Thursday, March 19. Both will start at 7 p.m. in the council chambers at the City Building, 800 Oak Avenue.

These sessions will offer a chance to learn more about this project and how it will unfold over the next year to 18 months. Questions and comments are welcome as city leaders hope to learn more about how residents will use this space as part of their day-to-day lives in the years ahead.

The Village Green Re-Design project will include a new performance pavilion and an updated green space that will include a splash pad, new landscaping and public benches to make the space user-friendly for the recreation needs of today’s families. The new pavilion is being funded largely by private donations through the Wyoming Recreation Foundation. Construction is set to begin in spring of 2021 and be complete within a few months. For more information, visit the Recreation Foundation page on the city website.
