With the holidays upon us, the City of Wyoming is gearing up for the return of the season’s best-loved events. Here’s the rundown:

Holiday One-Stop Shop

Saturday, Dec. 4, 10 am – 3 pm, Wyoming Civic Center.

Beat the supply chain blues by shopping 35 local artisans and businesses while listening to seasonal music and meeting friends and neighbors. Choose from a unique variety of arts, crafts, jewelry, stationery, and more. Enjoy refreshments from the Sea Cuisine food truck as well!

Wyoming Holiday Celebration

Saturday, Dec. 11, 5:45 – 8 pm, Wyoming Civic Center and Village Green

It’s the big one! At the Village Green, Santa arrives on a fire truck as a drum line welcomes him in at 5:45pm. For the rest of the evening, the Civic Center will feature holiday music from Wyoming Middle and High School students and the Vision for the Arts Academy. The bar will be open, and Wyoming School Music Association will be selling the ever-popular chip wheelies.

On the Village Green, Santa will be in the gazebo to hear Christmas wishes, with live reindeer and an ice sculptor close at hand. Restaurants and businesses will be open, and musical performances from the Wyoming Fine Arts Center will be held on the Station Family +BBQ restaurant porch.

Horse-drawn carriages will provide transportation between the Civic Center and the corner of Grove and Wyoming Avenues during the event.

Light Up Wyoming

Saturday, Dec. 11, 6pm

During the Holiday Celebration, residents are invited to line their yards and driveways with glowing luminaria from the Junior Women’s Club of Wyoming Light Up Wyoming event. This fundraiser, JWC’s biggest of the year, provides grants to local causes such as Pets in Need, Heartfelt Tidbits, Valley Interfaith, and many others. Each $20 kit supplies instructions and materials for 20 luminarias and can be purchased at the website, or in-person Dec.4 & 5 at the High School tennis courts, or Dec. 11 at the Civic Center.
