Your guide to Spring 2023 in Wyoming is here! While you can expect warm weather, rain showers, and May Fete every spring, Wyoming’s long-running annual carnival day isn’t the only event happening during the months of April through June.

From the Wyoming Community Food Drive to live Latin music nights at The Arepa Place, you’ll find plenty of activities to enjoy in the coming months.

Monday, April 3
CPR Class (Heartsaver), Public Safety Facility, 6-9 p.m.

Nearly 400,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur annually, and 88% of cardiac arrests occur in the home. Anyone can learn CPR and everyone should! Classes include adult, child, and infant CPR, as well as AED instruction with a CPR certification card given upon class completion (valid for 2 years). Cost is $40 per class. Join the Wyoming Environmental Stewardship Commission and our Upcycle Day partners in keeping Wyoming the leader for waste diversion in Cincinnati. Upcycle Day is held the day before the City’s Junk Pick Up Day, and we encourage your participation in helping to reduce the amount of junk that goes to the landfill. Learn more here.

3rd Annual Wyoming Community Food Drive, Village Green, 1-4 p.m.

In the last two years, Wyoming has donated over 13,000 meals to Valley Interfaith. This year, we’re hoping to have the most impactful year yet. With grocery prices increasing and SNAP benefits decreasing, our neighbors need our help more than ever. Food collection bags will be dropped off earlier in the week at most Wyoming homes. Fill your bag by 9 a.m. that morning or bring it down to the Village Green. Click here for more information.

Between the Food Drive, Junk Day, and Upcycle Day, it’s the time to clean out your house. For Junk Day, items can be placed at the curb up to one week in advance but must be at the curb by 6 a.m. on the day of pick up. Click here for more information.

Enjoy a traditional Colombian meal, The Arepa Place, 5-8 p.m.

Head over to The Arepa Place to try a Colombian Parrillada. The dish includes grilled steak, chorizo, chicken, papa criolla, yuca, corn-on-the-cob, sweet plantains, chimichurri, and guacamole. Pre-order yours ahead of time as there will be four servings at 5, 6, 7, and 8 p.m.

Wyoming PSA Wheel-A-Thon

Students in grades K-6 get pledges for their ride and win prizes for every 5 course laps of the Wheel-a-thon course they complete. Additional prizes are awarded for most money raised and laps completed. The Wheel-A-Thon raises money to support Wyoming City Schools by getting kids on their wheels. Register here.

Starting all the way back in 1922, the all-day carnival returns for 2023 complete with rides, games, food, and fun. Proceeds from May Fete and related events go directly to the PSA and are used to fund equipment and technology purchases, classroom supplies, enrichment activities, and more.
