Wyoming’s Civic Center now includes a welcoming 798-square foot patio at the front of the building, equipped with tables and seating, umbrellas, a seat wall and patio heaters for cooler weather.

The patio is available to anyone, but can be reserved for private events.

“You can grab a coffee and meet someone there and have a picnic,” says Director of Recreation and Citizen Engagement Rachel Leininger.

The Civic Center is just a five-minute walk to the Wyoming Busines District and is conveniently located within the Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA).

The new patio is one of the final pieces of a complete renovation of the Civic Center that took place in 2017. The facility now boasts versatile event space inside and outside that can comfortably accommodate 200 guests. Event hosts have access to use of the main room, including the spacious lobby, bar area, a dedicated bridal room, full catering kitchen, stage, dance floor – and now two outdoor patios, at both the front and rear of the building.

The space features mid-century modern architecture and designs, with large floor-to-ceiling windows, a rich, wood paneled wall in the lobby, and mid-century inspired furniture and color selections throughout. The facility offers full bar service options for event hosts.

In addition, the building’s lower-level includes a meeting room and Candlepin Bowling lanes that provide optimal space for corporate or charity events, bridal or baby showers, family reunions, class reunions, graduation parties, retirement parties and more.

Reservations are filling up quickly for the second half of 2021 and even into 2022, says Leininger. Reservations can be made up to two years in advance. “If you’re interested, don’t wait to call.”
