After growing up in Wyoming and attending Ohio University, Reece Dow has
returned to the community as Youth and Adult Sports Coordinator at the
Recreation Center. We asked Dow about his background, his personal interests,
and why he’s excited to be back in his hometown.

Why did you choose a career in sports programming?

Because of my love for sports! I grew up here in Wyoming playing basically every
sport, and now I get to provide these fun recreational programs for the younger
generation.

Tell us a little about your background and experience.

Right out of college at Ohio University, I ended up with the YMCA of Greater
Cincinnati. I was a sports director there for a little over a year, focusing on youth
and adult sport programming.

Why did you take the position of Youth and Adult Sports Coordinator for the
City of Wyoming, and how do you like it so far?

First, one of the main reasons is that I grew up here. Second, I mentioned that I
grew up playing various sports recreationally, but I also played for the schools, so I
feel I have that connection within the community already. It’s been great so far!

What hobbies and activities do you enjoy?

Whenever I have free time, I love to go out with friends and family. I also love to just
watch Netflix/Hulu and relax because I mean, who doesn’t? Lake Michigan definitely
holds a special place in my heart, too!

What else would like Wyoming to know about you?

I am a second-generation Bobcat alumnus from Ohio University, but don’t get it twisted — It’s still GO COWBOYS!!!
